So the moment you've been waiting for is finally here. I finally have some time to make another blog to give you the answer to our head to head contest we had between the 52 Reissue Fender Telecaster and the Squire Classic Vibe Telecaster. So let me recap, what I did in my previous blog post was I recorded some sound clips of the two guitars without necessarily revealing which one they were; so one was Telecaster A and the other Telecaster B. So I wanted you to listen to those sound clips to determine which one you thought sounded better without telling you which one it actually was.
Today I’m going to give you the answer. So for everybody who gave me feedback thank you for that a lot of you commented on which one you thought sounded better; some of you said Telecaster A, some of you said Telecaster B and so without further ado I’m going to tell you which one it was. So this one is the Squire Classic Vibe and this one was the sound sample A. This is the 52 Reissue and this one was my sound sample B. So all of you commented that the sound sample A was a little bit more cutting, a little brighter, a typical Telecaster sound, that was the Squire, and some of you commented that sound sample B sounded a little bit more boomie was the word I was looking for and that was actually the 52 Reissue.
So there you have it, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you pay a lot more for a guitar that don’t necessarily sound better to everyone. I own both for different reasons but to be honest with you the squire is the one that gets played most of the time. The 52 Reissue tends to stay in the case a lot more and also the 52 reissue is a lot more expensive as everybody knows. So you know the squire is a pretty good bang for the buck for your money, you know $400 or so, it’s not going to break the bank but a lot of bang for the buck with the Squire Classic Vibe.
I think a lot of you are going to be surprised and some of you pleasantly surprised because you were mentioning that you’re hoping that A would be the Squire because you can go out and buy one, it’s not very expensive so now you have your answer.
Just to let you know, I want to remind everybody to please subscribe to my videos. I will have other videos coming up. I will make some videos of some other reviews of gear, primarily pedals, amps and other guitars and what not and I will also start producing some videos to show you how to do some basic guitar setups. So things that are very common that every guitarist should know and that can save you a ton of money in the long run if you don’t have to go lute every time you have these issues. So I’m going to start producing a few of these blog posts and hopefully a lot of you will be interested in that content as well. So stay tuned and keep the comments coming. We really appreciate it. Thank you.
